
Over ten days, Ruth found objects around her home that were specific to being a woman. Items like lipstick and tampons. She created six Instagram posts with prompting questions and invited the public to respond to her findings. The posts became a public engagement piece within the BLUR exhibition. In addition, cards with prompting questions were provided as part of the installation; they asked the viewer to initiate a conversation with gallery attendees. Questions about how people use clothing and makeup to construct gender identity, including reproductive issues, body responsibility, hormones, and emotions.
