Over ten days, Ruth found objects around her home that were gender specific. Things like lipstick and tampons. She created six Instagram posts with prompting questions and invited the public to respond to her findings. The posts became a public engagement piece within the BLUR exhibition. In addition, cards with prompting questions were provided as part of the installation; they asked the viewer to initiate conversation within the gallery. Questions about how people use clothing and makeup to construct gender identity, including reproductive issues, body responsibility, hormones, and emotions.
