I AM HERE Explores how women find and maintain their sense of belonging in our changing rural landscape. Lead Artist Ruth Chase will elicit perspectives through the use of social media, public art-making salons, a short film, and an interactive public installation called I AM HERE. I AM HERE is, ultimately, a community conversation- a way to connect, explore and empower.

KEY WOMEN PARTICIPANTS

Ruth Chase will work with 13 key women participants about how they find and maintain their sense of belonging as women in Nevada County. Through the corse of four workshops a public installation will be created and installed in Nevada County in June, 2019.  Names to come in August.

SOCIAL MEDIA INFORMS THE WORK

Ruth invites the public to submit images, stories and opinions, and to answer Saturday morning I AM HERE questions to engage the community in a conversation about the women who live in Nevada County and to foster community collaboration.
