Becoming A Better Sinner drawings explore the tension between societal conformity and personal authenticity. Through this series, I question how we often follow rules and norms out of a deep need to belong, even when they don’t align with our true selves. The title reflects the discomfort that comes with rejecting dogma and embracing individuality—sometimes, staying true to who we are can feel like an act of rebellion. This work challenges the idea of “sin” as a transgression of your own doing.

Artist as Mother drawings are an introspection of motherhood, the struggles I have being my daughter’s teacher, when really she is my teacher, and finding humor in the painful growth stages we both encounter. Drawn intuitively, scribbling lines until I can feel an image emerge from the mess that speaks to me, allowing an element of surprise in what my unconscious delivers in form.

Energy drawings are an exploration of spontaneity and intuition, created through pencil and automatic response. By allowing my hand to move freely, I aim to capture the unseen force of energy—what it might look like if it could be visualized. These works are an attempt to translate the dynamic, fluid nature of energy into a form that feels as unpredictable and alive as the force itself.
