The West of Lincoln Project was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles, and a grant recipient from The Carl Jacobs Foundation.
WHAT: Four of the thirteen paintings from the West of Lincoln Project will be auctioned off to the highest bidder starting on August 1st. Opening bid is $500. Each bidding session will last five days. The final price includes shipping and handling. The painting can be hung as is or re-stretched on stretcher bars.

HOW: In the comment box below the auction post on Facebook or Instagram bidding can be posted in any increments above the previous bid. Bidding will begin at $500 and the painting will go to the highest bidder. Ruth will update the highest bid throughout each day. The bidding will close on the last day at 7pm. Payment is expected within 24 hours of auction closing through Paypal. The painting will ship within 48 hours of payment confirmation. The painting will arrive unstretched and can be restretched or hung as is.

The project was more than two years in the making and involved over 300 participants, each of whom was chosen to convey different perspectives and a broad spectrum of experiences. Like Chase, these subjects grew up and attended school in Venice. Chase worked in an ongoing collaboration with each individual to create painted portraits.
