A Sense of Belonging | Making Art on the Earth

A guided workshop by Ruth Chase creating an art installation in nature that expresses a group idea. The focus is on looking at our environment to communicate a sense of belonging. This will be an inspiring outdoor event making Land Art.

 

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

 

4-hour workshop with break for lunch
Ages 10 – 16 allowed with adult chaperone
All materials are provided

> Gardening gloves optional
> Camera optional, consider submitting a photo of your Land Art / Earth Art for the BELONGING Exhibition: MAY 2 – JUL 30

About the Author Ruth Chase

Ruth Chase is primarily a project based artist whose award winning series, West of Lincoln Project, probed into the lives of individuals who grew up in Venice, CA. She is a California-based painter that uses biographical portraiture to communicate stories of compassion, and valuable insight that promotes positive social change. Her work includes the use of social media in her creative process to stimulate conversation around human value, as well as engaging the public to actively participate in the final outcome of her work.
