The West of Lincoln Project is an exhibition of

  1. 12 individual painted portraits of people who grew up in VENICE by Ruth Chase, with written biographies by Gena Lasko.
  2. The “West Of Lincoln” painting is a collage of 42 personal stories of people from all over the world, and across many decades, but not necessarily from VENICE. Every participant submitted an image that Ruth reproduced on the painting and recorded an audio clip about their experience and memories of Venice CA. The audio will be part of the viewing experience.
